Last month was indeed a very special month at the Deshmukh household
because, Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza had become proud parents
of a baby boy. Today, they named their son as 'Riaan' at a private
'barsa' (naming) ceremony in Mumbai.
Genelia even tweeted her son's name by saying 'Our Son 'RIAAN RITEISH DESHMUKH'.

Day 4: 1:00 pm, Karishma cooks lunch for everyone along with Soni!
It seems Karishma has started playing her game! And why wouldn’t she,
Bigg Boss House is all about playing game and surviving and not about
making friends. But, as the days are passing, slowly her real shade is
coming out! Her first move began when she took over the kitchen along
with Soni as soon as the Secret Society opened it for the housemates
last night.
On one hand, Khabri spotted Karishma bitching about Upen to Aarya. And on the other, she took Soni along in the kitchen.
It looks like she is already building her strategy.

The fondness and likeness that was evident in on Day 1 between Sukirti Kandpal and Upen Patel in the Bigg Boss House vanished into thin air soon after! So what soured the grapes??
On the second day abiding by a task given by the secret society, Gautam and Upen were asked to stay up the whole night. While the men performed the task satisfactorily, next morning the other contestants were faced with another obstacle - that of water shortage! They were asked to 'earn' their water supply for the day by cycling rigorously on a steady cycle kept inside the premises. Upon knowing about the problem Sukirti went inside the plane and told the co-passengers about the problem. She looked at Upen and asked him to step out and be with the others.
A sleep-deprived and groggy Upen lost his cool immediately and told her that there's no reason for him to step out when he has been dazed and tired after not having slept for almost 19 hours. A poor Sukirti hurt by Upen's snappy reaction was seen crying later in isolation. When Upen saw the same, he clarified that he was merely trying to tell her that he was tired and sleepy and wouldn't want to sit out. To which a teary eyed Sukirti responded that even at home nobody speaks to her in that tone and she is not used to such attitudes. To which Upen retorted that she is trying to blow things out of proportion and faking tears!
What happens next? Have equations changed overnight? only the tonight's episode will tell.
Bigg Boss this season is unlike anything the audience is used to. There are no beds, cozy rooms, a living room, or a kitchen. But there is loads of anonymity and uncertainity. Guess that’s the Colors’ way of keeping audience’s interest in the show intact because the celebs this season aren’t eye catchy enough. So the first day after the grand premiere was pretty perilous for the Bigg Boss inmates.
They woke up to no food and the moment they thought they might go starving, meal trays arrive letting them sigh with relief. While that was going on, romance has started to stir its head between Upen Patel and Sukriti Kandpal who seem to have the eye for only each other. They seem pretty confortable with each other and were conversing the most.
Arya Babbar however is still looking for someone to romance.
The contestants decide to play Dumb Charades which everyone seems to have enjoyed a lot. Later in the evening, they participated in a fashion show on the theme of sueprnaturals. So all the Indian vampires, zombies and werewolves were unleashed which made for gory yet pretty sight.
But it was the secret society who added the punch to the episode. Half of the passengers got their luggage while the other half had to toil to get theirs. They were given a ‘Qurbaniyaan’ task. They were made to sacrifice their food.
Well, the channel is going to extreme lengths to put the contestants in extreme conditions to get extreme reactions. Let’s see how that works out for the show.

Star Cast:
Salman Khan, Tabu, Daisy Shah, Ashmit Patel, Danny Denzongpa, Sana Khan, Suniel Shetty, Mohnish Bahl
Director:
Sohail Khan
Plot - Story, Screenplay and Dialogues
A formerly decorated Army officer Jai Agnihotri (Salman Khan) is now
leading the life of a common man. Employed as a mechanic in a garage, he
still cannot withstand the social evils which are going viral around
us. Raising his voice against the wrong doers lands him and his family
in stick troubles.
Despite repeated attempts to stay off trouble for the sake of his
lady love (Daisy Shah), he cannot ignore the chain of things and ends up
pitted opposite the evil Home Minister Dasharath Singh (Danny).
Whether Jai manages to get his noble hearted intentions to trigger further or loses to Singh is what the story tracks down.
Most of the times Salman movies talks less about the script. But this one being an exception. The credits of Jai Ho goes to its story itself. The execution lacks a bit. The film’s story comes without excessive baggage of intelligence and is kept simplistic in its vein. No one watches Salman’s films for exhilarating acting or story. We
understand the limitations of the genre he has established but
definitely the scripts he chooses have an intrinsic element of
relatability. The screenplay of the movie is poor in the first half. But the movie really makes a great mark in its second half. The first half screenplay of the movie could have been made more interesting but Sohail Khan and his team failed to generate some good remarks in first half. Post interval movie stands good.
Dialogues of the movie are fantastic. Especially :" AAM AADMI SOTA HUA SHER HAI UNGLI MAT KAR, WARNA CHEER FAAD DEGA" , "Thank You mat bolo instead teen logon ki madat karna aur unse kehna ki wo teen logo ki madat kare". Dialogues are good for the movie.
Star Performances
JAI HO is a Salman show through and through and the actor rises above
the script to deliver a bravura performance. The actor fires on all
cylinders, standing tall and dwarfing everything and everyone in sight.
You cannot take your eyes off him, he's simply incredible. Tabu returns
to the masala zone after a hiatus and the choice of film couldn't be
more appropriate. For, there's ample meat in her character to stand out.
Daisy Shah doesn't really get much scope, but you cannot ignore the
fact that she's a terrific and graceful dancer. Danny Denzongpa enacts
the evil politician with gusto. Sana Khan leaves a mark in a role that
has negative shades. Genelia Deshmukh is wonderful in a brief but
significant role. Nadira Babbar is first-rate. Pulkit Samrat is
efficient. Naman Jain, who enacts the role of Salman's nephew, is super.
Suniel Shetty appears in a cameo.
The film has a strong supporting cast, which includes Mahesh Manjrekar,
Aditya Pancholi, Mohnish Bahl, Sharad Kapoor, Mahesh Thakur, Mukul Dev,
Ashmit Patel, Yash Tonk, Varun Badola, Vatsal Sheth, Tulip Joshi, Haroon
Qazi and Sudesh Lehri. They enact their respective characters well.
Santosh Shukla makes a confident big screen debut. Also, the actor who
enacts the part of the drunkard stands out.
Music and Other Technical Aspects
Sohail Khan attempts to create a positive jingoism of warmth and goodness. But the director fails to fabricate the genuineness as it doesn’t emerge out the required intensity due to the over enthusiasm of its screenplay The preaching is overdone and had it not been for Salman Khan the film would have been entirely unwatchable. The romance scenes were half baked and did not have the expected fluff. Often the film’s screenplay inflicts severe wounds on the intelligence of the audiences but when there is such unbelievable thunderous action to get mesmerized by, why waste time picking out logic lapses in the film. If you were looking for logic, Dedh Ishqiya would have been a super-hit. Especially, in the climax scene, when an army tanker guns down people who come to kill Jai, if you manage to find logic then hats off to you!
The brisk editing works fine as the film remains fast paced and doesn’t fall slack too much. The music is unbearable.
Last Word : Final Verdict
Jai Ho is not a masala entertainer. It is a movie with a script but could not stand for good execution. Salman is the key factor of the movie which will for sure make it a All time Blockbuster.
My Rating for the movie is 3 on 5

Dhoom 3 has done it. After being hyped to the sky, especially in last couple of months, a core expectation from the film was to score heavily. This is what actually happened when the film started his journey with a record breaking start. With over 33 crore coming in on the first day, and that too with just the Hindi version, the film broke the record created by Chennai Express just a few months back.
The difference though lied in the fact that while the Shah Rukh starrer had managed that on Eid holiday, Aamir Khan enjoyed this feat on a non-holiday.
Such huge was the benchmark set by the film on the very first day that there had to be some fall in collections on Saturday. However, the film saw a surge on Sunday which saw huge moolah coming in. As a result, the film managed to come in the vicinity of the 100 crore mark, hence turning out to be a quick and huge money spinner all the way. The actuals are still being compiled and will be updated soon.

With this, Dhoom 3 has made a record of entering the coveted 100 crore club in just 3 Days, beating SRK starrer Chennai Express that entered the club after adding its paid previews collections!
There is some more fun awaited, what with a very huge Christmas holiday round the corner on Wednesday. That would ensure yet another major day in the upwards of 20 crore which would be immense indeed for this Aditya Chopra production. The way film is going, while 200 crore is given, the challenge would be to cross the 226 crore total of Chennai Express.
The film has received largely positive reviews for its fun quotient though a few critics have kept it in the average range due to various unbelievable episodes that fill in the film. However the fact remains that for a large section of audience, this Vijay Krishna Acharya directed film has worked and even for those it hasn’t, a theatrical visit has ensured good enough footfall to result in some high numbers already. With no major release for a fortnight, Dhoom 3 would continue to create Dhoom at the box office.

Dhoom 3 on its opening day created a rage at the box office and with its second day collection pouring in, the film seems to have witnessed a negligible drop on its second day. Early estimates suggest that the film has earned in the range of 34 to 35 crores on its second day, which is excellent.
This YRF venture, starring an ensemble cast including Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Uday Chopra, now stands at a total domestic box office collections in the range of whooping 70 to 71 crores.
If the film manages to maintain the same range consistently even today, it will surpass Chennai Express‘ record of the fastest 100 crore entrant. Chennai Express entered the distinguished 100 crore mark in 3 days which included the film’s paid preview amount as well. But Dhoom 3 despite the absence of paid preview, is looking to beat the same in lesser time. However, it is yet for the film’s Sunday collections to confirm whether Dhoom 3 can attain the same or not.

Dhoom 3 kicked off to a monumental start yesterday. Contrary to the belief that the film will remain only palatable to the multiplex audiences, it garnered wonderful response from the single screens too.
The film on its first day has managed to collect approximately 32 crores from its Hindi shows alone. Since the film released in Tamil and Telugu as well separately, the film earned another 4 crores from the vernacular releases. With that the film, as per early estimates, has on its opening day raked a stupendous sum of 36 crores at the domestic box office.

It is quite a commendable start as the film, being a non-holiday release, managed to beat Chennai Express‘ opening day record (which saw an Eid release). Chennai Express had so far held the record of highest opening day collections (33.10 crs) and with Dhoom 3‘s release, this film claimed its record.
Reports suggests that the film’s Telegu version is faring better than Tamil but in most mass based circuits, the film is determined to remain stellar with the chance of beating Chennai Express‘ record of fastest 100 crore.
Well, not just that, but as per early reports this Aamir Khan starrer has high chances to create history by registering the highest box office collections ever on a single day, beating Krrish 3‘s record (35.91 crs).
Stay tuned as the actuals will be updated soon!

The story starts with the history of Great Indian Circus in Chicago which is mortgaged at the Western Chicago Bank. Its owner Iqbal (Jackie Shroff) has found the magic trick of wooing the bankers but loses the bait unfortunately.
On an eventful night of the circus, Iqbal kills himself due to his inability to save his circus. Years later, Chicago bank is being robbed relentlessly and the thief leaves a Joker’s mask each time. Iqbal’s son Sahir(Aamir Khan) manages to start up their circus again co-incidentally. The Bombay Police is summoned and obvious links are found between Iqbal’s son Sahir’s involvement in the burglary.
Will Jai (Abhishek Bachchan) and Ali(Uday Chopra) win against Sahir who is determined to seek revenge and destroy the bank for life?

It takes a while for the film’s plot to reveal completely. Luckily the
writers pack in ample suspense to keep your interest latched to the film
from the scene go. While Dhoom and Dhoom 2 both
worked because of style and slickness, this one works for its grit. It
essentially has all the fun and entertainment that comes as a package
from the franchise but luckily this time the makers did not decide to
give the story a miss. Aamir’s bikes and all the death defying stunts
are extremely filmy to the core giving the audiences a taste of what
essentially qualifies as Bollywood, but this time they infuse a highly
emotional story.
The second half of the movie comes with a mindblowing twist and the suspense when watched makes audience more engaged.
It is best to reveal as little as
possible about Aamir’s character. To say the least, Aamir Khan is
sincere in whatever he does. He plays every shade of his role with
smoothness, ease and perfection.
Katrina Kaif is beautiful in every frame. She is perfect with her
acts and the dance. Sadly, her role isn’t written with more meat or
emotion. Abhishek Bachchan is as good as Jai Dixit as he has always been. And no curt words for Uday Chopra. God bless him for all the comic relief he provides. Without him, Dhoom would be a brooding and distastefully somber.
Dhoom 3 was spectacular and majestic. Keeping a strong hold on
the emotional prowess of its plot, the film sews in the slick action so
awe strikingly. Don’t go in expecting an Aamir Khan film because it
isn’t without flaws. But it gets right everything that is a must for
commercial films, especially its ability to grasp on to the interest of
audiences. Even cool thieves are vulnerable people and to be able to get
that correct is what makes Dhoom 3 a winner. One bang up job! I
am going with 4.5 stars for the only hitch that good films don’t
necessarily need to stretch this long.

Sophia Hayat’s complaint against Armaan Kohli was definitely not taken
lightly by them. According to a leading daily, cops landed on the sets
of Bigg Boss 7 to investigate about Armaan’s behavior. Sophia
apparently has accused the man of severe aggression including hitting
her. Sophia might also file an F.I.R against Colors for not taking any
step against Armaan for physically abusing her.
Cops even attempted to take statements
from eye witnesses who were present when Armaan apparently hit Sophia.
For now, they have managed to procure the footage from Colors to delve
more into the allegation and whether the nature of crime was exactly
what Sophia’s statement claims.
With the season’s finale drawing closer,
if the crime is proven against him it might not only end his Bigg Boss
journey but have further grave impact.

Bigg Boss 7 house is seeing things turning
upside down, rivals becoming friends, friends becoming rivals, and much
more. Changing equations, changing relationships is a constant in the
controversial house.
This week’s nominations are the most important ones, as they decide the fate of the housemates. And directly pushes the Bigg Boss 7 housemates extremely closer to victory. If our source can be believed, then Sangram Singh has just pushed Tanisha Mukerji to the finale.
Here is how it all unfolded:
The nominations for eviction this week are: Ajaz Khan (lost identity), Armaan Kohli (Mr. Abusive), Kushal Tandon (lover “puppet”), VJ Andy (entertainer) and last but not the least, Gauahar Khan
(the original Miss Manipulative). Kushal voted Armaan and Tanisha,
Gauahar voted Armaan and Tanisha, Ajaz voted Armaan and Tanisha, Armaan
voted Ajaz and Kushal, Tanisha voted Ajaz and Kushal, Andy voted Ajaz
and Kushal out. And Kamya Punjabi who was evicted yesterday, using her
special power voted VJ Andy out.
However, Sangram was given a
special power as the captain of the house. He had to save one housemate,
and nominate the other. Whom do you think Sangram saved? VJ Andy? Nope!
Now, that’s where is the game-changer move! Sangram saved Tanisha and
nominated Gauahar instead.
This comes as a major blow to Gauahar Khan, who was very sure of sailing through the finals, and would escape nominations, but Bigg Boss 7
is all about expecting the unexpected, or even better: don’t expect!
Gauahar Khan, who has been part of such a reality show earlier exactly
knew how to manipulate each and every move, and using all her resources
outside she played a double game – one inside the house, and other
outside the house. She gave to Bigg Boss 7 all the necessary
drama, be it her love-story, or the act of quitting the show in the
middle and then returning, accepting a romantic proposal – she was clear
from the word go what she had to do to gain maximum eyeballs, and
footage.
Next weekend, December 22, 2013 will see one of them bid a final goodbye to the Bigg Boss 7
house, thus ending his/her game of winning the finale. Also, as
customary there would be another eviction either this week itself, or
next week when a housemate is given a choice to walk out of the house
voluntarily. The housemate would be offered money to do so. This season
the booty is five lac Rs only, according to our source.
Generally,
a contestant who is not sure of winning, even if he/she reaches the
Finale bites into this bait! Bhakhtiyar had accepted the offer given by
Bigg Boss in Season 3. The sum was ten lac Rs then. He opted out of the
show on Day 79. In Season 6 a similar offer was made to the contestant,
and the monies offered were twenty lac Rs, but no one took up the offer.

Bigg Boss 7 is inching towards it’s finale,
and during it’s last stages some unexpected results are visible. Some
heavy surprises, some very certain PR plugs, and more dirty drama is
unfolding outside of the controversial house.
Now, this is something which has not been a surprise – as Kamya Punjabi was one of the most dignified contestants on Bigg Boss 7, out of the recent lot. But, as we have witnessed in the past – Bigg Boss 7
is no house for dignified people, it’s a house where below the belt
remarks, dirty politics, and things which can’t be written here,
survive.
From the past three seasons, a female TV personality has been winning the reality show. Season 4 had Shweta Tiwari as winner, Season 5 saw Juhi Parmar winning, and Season 6 was taken away by Urvashi Dholakia. But, Bigg Boss 7 is different.
Kamya Punjabi has just been evicted from the Bigg Boss 7
house. If one takes a look at the entire journey of Kamya, one can say
that she maintained her fort very well. She had her own mood swings, she
had her fights, but she sort of left a message: don’t mess with women,
they too can do what men boost of all the time. She maybe wrong in many
situations, but in the end she held her space with respect and class,
compared to the drama queens – Gauahar Khan and Tanisha Mukerji.
Kamya was close to Pratyusha Banerjee, she supported her throughout her stay. The only time she had a very ugly spat was when Armaan Kohli called her a divorcee. Later, Armaan literally fell on her feet begging for forgiveness.
The ones who remain in Bigg Boss 7
house now are: Kushal Tandon and Gauahar Khan, Armaan Kohli and Tanisha
Mukerji, VJ Andy and Sangram Singh. The odd man left out of any pair is
Ajaz Khan, who swings from being with Kushal and Gauahar, and at times
tilts towards Sangram and Andy.

As expected, R… Rajkumar opened
well at the box office. In fact the footfalls as well as the
collections were pretty much as per the plan, what with around 50% opening resulting in around 9 crore coming on the first day. Now this is the highest opening that a Shahid Kapoor film has ever taken and second highest ever for Prabhu Dheva after Rowdy Rathore
Such collections were always on the cards, considering the songs (Gandi Baat, Saree Ke Fall Sa)
had done the trick while the promos were accepted too. Oh yes, there
were spoilers in the party though, what with majority of critics panning
the film with some of the worst reviews of the year reserved for it.
There were a handful of average and good reviews too but largely, there
wasn’t any chance given to the film. However, audience had a choice of
its own and this was reflected in some consistent numbers that the film
gained over the weekend.
As a result, around 29 crores came over the weekend for R… Rajkumar
which has given the film a good chance to fight it out during the
weekdays. Solo release as well as absence of any competition whatsoever
has helped the film’s prospects and since there is hardly any
competition in the coming week, R… Rajkumar should continue to find audience, especially in the single screens. This must indeed be good news for Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha who were hunting for a good earner this year.
Other release of the week, Club 60
got good reviews and sparse release, hence resulting in hardly any
collections coming its way. It would soon be hunting for audience in the
home video circuit.
.
The official first look image of the upcoming film The Villain is out! Featuring Shraddha Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra,
the pairing is invigoratingly refreshing. This is the first
time Sidharth will be seen playing a character which might prove to be a
career defining role for him in acting and action moves. Shraddha
Kapoor will be seen a role pretty unique from Aashiqui 2 that shot her to fame. Directed by Mohit Suri, the film is expected to release in June, 2014.

Kajol, along with Ajay Devgn, were in New Delhi to attend the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit. They were attending the event in the capacity of the summit speakers. The other speakers include names like Raj Sisodia, Jairam Ramesh, Beeban Kidron, Walter Robb, Condoleezza Rice, Arun Jaitley, Dr. Anjali Mukherjee, Smriti Irani, Khusboo Sundar, Imran Khan, Anoushka Shankar and others.
It was a forgone conclusion that the media would question Kajol about her sister Tanisha who is making headlines after headlines every single day, thanks to her antics in Bigg Boss 7.
Also, a lot has been written and spoken about the differences between Tanisha and Kajol and the disapproval of mother Tanuja. Kajol, being the gracious lady she is, put a final nail to all the speculations by extending her support to her kid sister Tanisha. Kajol at an event said that she completely supports her sister Tanisha and it is the format of the show to put inmates in unnatural situation and bring out the worst in them.
Tanisha is under constant media scanner for being too close and often intimate with housemate Armaan Kohli. She was caught in an objectionable situation with Armaan not once but several times.
Speaking about the reality show, Kajol said, “I do watch Bigg Boss regularly and I feel the show’s format is such that it brings out the worst in the person. I try and catch every single episode of the show and will support Tanisha because she is my sister. I don’t think I have any advise for her because that place is such. The show puts you in an unnatural situation and compels to get the worst reaction out of you.”
Kajol and Ajay Devgn chatted at length about their love story and revealed the reason behind their successful marriage. Kajol said that their marriage worked because they are completely opposite to each other. The couple entered into matrimony on February 24, 1999.
“We dated for almost four years before getting married and we are best friends. I think our relation has worked only because I speak a lot and he quietly listens. I can go on for hours and he can stay mum for hours, so the secret to our happy married life is that Ajay doesn’t say much,” said a very happy and content Kajol.
Adding to this, Ajay joked, “The secret of our successful marriage is simple, I sometimes listen and sometimes I just pretend to listen.”

The story is handpicked from the land of opium growers where the age
old rivalry between Shivraj (Sonu Sood) and Parmar (Ashish Vidyarthi) is
the norm of the village named Dhartipur. Shivraj strikes gold when he
hires a man Romeo Rajkumar (Shahid Kapoor) who is neat with his work and
beats zestfully. However Shivraj and Romeo suffer a massive fallout
when they both fall for Parmar’s niece Chanda (Sonakshi SInha).
While Parmar and Shivraj end their opium rivalry and decide to become
relatives finally ending their tussle, Romeo challenges Shivraj that he
will marry his lady love on the same day that is decided for his
wedding to Chanda.
Henceforth begins Romeo’s journey to win over Shivraj at every step
and make Chanda his own. Will Shivraj fail to marry Chanda and fail the
challenge Romeo posed to him? Or use his power to crush his former
protege? Watch R…Rajkumar to know how the story unfolds.
Shahid Kapoor to his credit is in good form. He delivers a few
genuine laughs and shows a flair for fights! Intense and enjoyable,
perhaps the only flaw with his work was he wasn’t enjoying his role
enough. The infectious gusto of the actor is indeed there but the
scorching screen presence of the lead man is clearly half done.
Sonakshi Sinha is unfortunately the female Prakash Raj
of the acting world. She is there is every freaking film, delivering
the same role each time rendering no new flavor to her character. There
is running joke I crack to my friends about her, how you can cut her
scenes from any of her films and paste it in her next, it would do. She
is becoming boring and since the girl has shown caliber before, wasting
herself in roles where she is called lollypop is unfortunate.
Sonu Sood is not exemplary. Missing the viciousness of Chedi Singh,
neither is he a perfect lecher or outright evil. With cocky lines and
the brutal smile, he works just average but not exceedingly impressive.
The supporting cast can might as well be ignored because they were that unremarkable.
R…Rajkumar is a below ordinary, at best Prabhudheva’s most modest work till date. Rating 2 on 5
