Singh Saab The Great on its 1st Saturday showed a marginal pick up at the box office. According to early estimates, the film earned in the range of 10 crores to 12 crores on Saturday. While the film’s first day performance wasn’t exemplary, this one was specifically fashioned keeping in mind tastes of single screen audiences. The film has so far earned in the range of 15 crores to 17 crores at the domestic box office. Though the official figures are still being compiled, the numbers will remain in the same range.

Anil Sharma and Sunny Deol’s association has always worked wonders at the box office. This time too, the duo have tried to create magic by keeping the film simple and impactful. Though the box office performance of the film won’t be mesmeric, it will surely be on the better side.

Gori Tere Pyaar Mein remained low at the box office as compared to the other films running alongside. WhileSingh Saab The Great was wonderful in many circuits like UP, Delhi- NCR, CI, Berar and Rajasthan, Gori Tere Pyaar Mein thjat was targeted mainly at the multiplexes suffered a beating from last week’ film Ramleela that is impressing all and sundry. As per early estimates, the film on its 1st Saturday earned in the range of 6 crores. Though the figures are still being compiled, the film has far made an income in the range of 9.50 crores at the domestic box office. The dull response is alarming because the film belongs to a genre that is relatable to a large chunk of young India. There is little chance that the film will show any pick up on Sunday thus stagnating its first weekend amount in the lower range. Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan have been amply praised for their work but the film will find it difficult to soar at the box office with such an underwhelming beginning.

Krrish 3 till the end of its 4th weekend is on the verge of dwindling at the box office. The film that earned with a relentless gusto has made 240.10 crores so far. The film’s collections are now ranging with 30 lacs to 40 lacs daily signifying that it has run its due course at the box office.

Krrish 3 has managed to hold ground despite the release of Ramleela. Running in its 3rd week currently, the film on its 3rd Monday earned in the range of 1.50 crores. Though holding on stable, the signs of its dwindling at the box office is becoming more and more evident with each passing day. The film will now stand at an overwhelming domestic total of 236 crores at the box office.

Krrish 3 that emerged as Bollywood’s indigenous sci-fi superhero product truly wrote for itself a success story at the box office. Emerging as a hit, the film will wrap up its lifetime run within the 250 crore mark. Hrithik Roshan’s Krrish 3 has broken the lifetime record of Shah Rukh Khan’s Chennai Express after adding its 3rd Friday collections at the Domestic Box Office. The movie that made a business of 225.85 crores in 2 weeks, added more 2.40 crores in its kitty, taking its domestic total to 228.25 crores at the Box Office. Yes, the collections dropped heavily on 15th Day, due to the new release Ramleela.

Nevertheless, this Rakesh Roshan directorial now stands as Bollywood’s Highest Grosser, a record which SRK-Deepika Padukone starrer had made quite recently, with a total domestic lifetime collections of 226.70 crores.

Krrish 3 sustained on 3rd Friday, despite facing a screen crunch with Goliyon Ki Ras Leela – Ramleela and Rajjo. The movie performed well in multiplexes, while single screen audience preferred going to the Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh starrer.

Krrish 3 will touch 235-240 crores nett lifetime!

Krrish 3 continued its earning spree at the same pace even on its 2nd Tuesday. Remaining in the same range, the film maintained itself steadily making an income of 5 crores at the Domestic Box Office. With that the total collections of Krrish 3 has now snowballed to a domestic total of  216.60 crores at the box office.

The film with each passing day is budging closer to the unattainable mark created by Chennai Express. For a film of Krrish 3‘s caliber, beating the lifetime income of Chennai Express is not entirely implausible. However, the film might prove to be a less lucrative venture given its high production expenses which is hindering it emerge as a profitable film so far.

Krrish 3 began its second week at the box office with a normal ‘Monday’ drop. It will now be a test for the film to further its success over the second week as well. As per early estimates, the movie made a business in the range of 5.50 crore to 6 crores on its 2nd Monday taking its domestic total to approx 211.75 crores to 212.25 crores at the box office. The actual figures from various circuits are still being compiled and that might cause the estimate value to vary accordingly.

The film in its first week earned relentlessly at the box office and its second week will be crucial in determining whether the film can incur enough profits or not. It has good chances of surpassing Chennai Express‘ lifetime earnings even if the film earns a minimum of 5 crores daily, but being made on an expensive budget it is yet to see how much of profit the makers earn from the venture.

Being the third joiner of 200 crore club, the film is third after 3 Idiots and Chennai Express to make it to the 200 crores mark at the domestic box office. While Chennai Express reached the mark over 15 days and 3 Idiots spanning over 70 days, Krrish 3 reached the same in barely 10 days at the box office.

Krrish 3 began its second weekend with a decent note. The film on its 2nd Saturday picked up quite impressively, raking in a moolah of 14.25 crores at the Domestic Box Office. The film’s total collections with that has escalated to 190.25 crores nett at the Box Office.

Beating the lifetime income of Ranbir Kapoor-Deepika Padukone starrer Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani which rested at 190.03 crores, the film has emerged as the second highest grosser of 2013 after Chennai Express.

The film now ranks as only the 4th highest grosser after Chennai Express, 3 Idiots and Ek Tha Tiger. Krrish 3 within just a week has emerged as quite a winner which is reason enough to believe that it will cross many more records at the box office before wrapping up its run!

After completion of 1 Week’s run, the movie now stands at a domestic total of about 164.50 crores at the Box Office. Moreover, the movie has managed to rake in whopping 36 crores from the International arena, taking its Worldwide Box Office total to around 200.50 crores.

It is clearly seen from the way the movie is performing, that it has a healthy chance of bypassing the lifetime domestic collection of biggies like Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani, Ek Tha Tiger and Chennai Express. Krrish 3 on its first full-trail working day witnessed only a marginal drop at the box office. The film has remained consistently at a higher note every since its release date and now at the conclusion of less than a week the film has fared miraculously well. Releasing in multiple languages has worked as a forte for it by widening its reach to greater single screens in South.

Hrithik Roshan perfectly syncing the superhero role is going down extremely well with audiences especially the younger folk who are making for a large part of the audience for this film. Emerging as quite a record smasher, the film is now eyeing to soon surpass the lifetime run of YJHD‘s box office collections which zeroed at a sum of 190.03 crores.

Surprisngly Krrish 3 did an overwhelming performance at the overseas box office. Though, the film from the beginning was hailed as a domestic winner however, the great performance in the international markets comes as a huge surrpise for most trade insiders. The film in its opening week at the overseas box office has nearly rakes up a whopping amount of 24 crores.

The film in U.K has so far collected 4.05 crores. In U.S.A and Canada, the film made 6.84 crores. Its U.A.E and G.C.C collections rested at a heavy 8 crores. In Australia, the film earned 1.20 crores. The film also fared extremely well in Pakistan, raking up 1.55 crores in the country.

In the smaller circuits too, the film fared reasonably well. The New Zealand collections of Krrish 3 rested at 31 lacs. In Fiji in the opening weekend, the film made nearly 9 lacs.

The film did well in Singapore too making nearly 62 lacs from the circuit. In Holland, the film earned 22 lacs. In Mauritius, the film made 37 lacs. In South Africa, the film rested at 20 lacs by the conclusion of the first weekend and finally in in Belgium, the film has so far made 13 lacs.

Hrithik Roshan has attained the position of box office supremo with his latest superhero flick Krrish 3. The film that had earned 68 crores till the conclusion of its opening weekend (Day 1 – 24.25 crores, Day 2 – 21.60 crores, Day 3 – 22.15 crores) raked up a mesmeric 36 crores on its fourth day, elevating the domestic total of the film to 104 crores at the box office.

With that the film has surpassed the humungous opening day collections recorded by Shah Rukh Khan starrer Chennai Express which scored as the highest collections a film had earned in a day. The first day collections of Chennai Express rested at a mammoth of 33.10 crores but now Krrish 3 holds the record of the highest a movie has collected in a single day with its 36 crores.
The film has almost neared the record of SRK’s Chennai Express, which entered th distinguished 100 crore club in 3 days (plus paid previews) which Krrish 3 failed to surpass given the festivities of Diwali which hindered its growth of Sunday. The film however leveled a newer record of beating Salman Khan’s Ek tha Tiger which made it to the club in 5 days. Standing at the second fastest entrant into the coveted club the film is the 24th joinee of the 100 crore club. Krrish 3 is expected to smash more records at the domestic box office in the course of its lifetime run.

Chennai Express is still dominating the 1st place in the list so far. It is to be seen, whether the upcoming biggies will be able to surpass its record or not!

Krrish 3 with Rs 45.85 crores (Day 1 Rs 24.25 crores + Day 2 Rs 21.60 crores) has directly occupied No 5 position on BollyTamasha’s List of Top 10 Highest Opening Weekend Indian Movies 2013. The movie has beaten the opening weekend record of Akshay Kumar’s Boss, that made 42.50 crores business in the extended opening weekend. Not just that, but this Hrithik Roshan starrer has evicted Ajay Devgn’s Himmatwala out of the list, that managed to collect merely 31 crores in its 1st weekend.

Looking at the current pace of Krrish 3′s Box Office performance, it seems that the movie will surely beat the record of Besharam and Race 2 by the end of its 1st weekend. However, it is to be seen whether the film can beat Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone starrer Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani opening weekend record or not!

The Hrithik Roshan starrer has done a gigantic business of 24.25 Crores on its Day 1 at the Domestic Box Office. Krrish 3 was also released in a few other languages except Hindi and the breakdown is: Hindi – 22.25 Crores and Other Languages – 2 Crores.

 

The movie witnessed nearly full occupancy in most theaters across India and has fared pretty well overseas too. The most interesting record set by Krrish 3 is the fact that it is the 3rd Biggest Opening Day Grosser till date. It is 3rd only by Chennai Express which grossed 33.10 Crores and Ek Tha Tiger with 32.92 Crores on its opening day. Previously the 3rd highest opening day grosser was again another Hrithik starrer, i.e. Agneepath with 23 Crores. Hrithik has retained the spot on no 3 and even improved the numbers marginally. However, with the release of highly awaited Dhoom 3 lined up for December the 3rd Spot of Krrish 3 might be in danger soon.

All said and done this definitely brings the Roshan’s into the league of Khans who seemed to have been single-handedly ruling the Bollywood Industry.

Lets start the review by the plot. Happily married now, Krrish aka Krishna (Hrithik Roshan) and Priya (Priyanka Chopra) now live with his father Rohit (Hrithik Roshan). A scientist of great potential, Rohit is shown to be working on a project that renders life to a dead organism. On the other hand, the owner of a big pharmaceutical company, Kaal (Vivek Oberoi) is plotting ways to destroy the world.

Belted to a wheel chair, he functions through his own army of mutants mainly Kaya (Kangana Ranaut). Kaal spreads a strange man-made virus that leads to a massive epidemic in Mumbai. Before his team of distinguished scientists could figure out the antidote of the virus, Rohit already make the same formula using Krrish’s blood.

The only way that antidote was possible was using Kaal’s blood sample. This begins a tussle between the world’s two biggest superpowers – Kaal and Krrish. Will Krrish be able to destroy Kaal and restore the safety of mankind. Krrish 3 holds the answer to all your questions in its folds!

The story, screenplay and dialogues of the movie are good. The screenplay dips a little in post interval portions but regains the same in 5-10 minutes. 

Hrithik Roshan as Krrish is ok, yes you heard it ok and not outstanding. The reason behind this one is Hrithik Roshan is great as Rohit as they both start as a comparison competitive characters for the movie. And Hrithik looks great and appealing as Rohit Mehra. Emotional Quotient of Rohit Mehra is really great. Priyanka Chopra is good. Nothing much for her to elaborate. Kagana Ranuat as Kaya is really mindblowing. And above all Vivek Oberoi has come out with an outstanding performance of Kaal.

Rakesh Roshan has made an unimaginative rip-off, strictly abiding by the guidelines of directing a superhero film. And the man is pretty darn good at it, if you must know. There’s no trick in the rule book that he has missed which exactly is the problem here. His effort is highly unimaginative and bland. From a man who risked into making Koi Mil Gaya at a time when dancing around the trees was a norm, you do expect him to venture into something more challenging than merely trying his hand at the magnanimity of superhero flicks! The movie is also good in the emotional quotient. And that is great due to the character of Rohit Mehra. 

The music is average I must say. The songs are not mass appealing which makes a dip in the audience. God Allah aur Baghwan track makes a good remark.

Krrish 3 is a great attempt by Rakesh Roshan. It is good than Krrish but not as great as Koi Mil Gaya. I will give 3 on 5 for this one. It deserves a WATCH.

Exactly a decade back, even Rakesh Roshan would've never envisaged that KOI... MIL GAYA [2003] would cover such a long and prosperous distance, regaling audiences and winning hearts across the globe. The gargantuan success of KOI... MIL GAYA encouraged the Roshans to create one of the most lucrative franchises in India, resulting in KRRISH [2006]... and now KRRISH-3 [2013]. In retrospect, the franchise only got bigger with the passage of time. The scale, the budget, the characters... everything seems like a giant leap than the predecessor. On a parallel track, the expectations attached to the franchise continue to grow manifold.

One of the most expensive films produced in India, KRRISH-3 retains the story of noble versus sinful [the plot is connected with the predecessors], but Roshan Sr. makes sure he renews and revamps the latest installment -- adding the evil mutants to fight the superhero, garnishing the plot with loads of visual effects, et al -- attempting to match the superhero flicks that arrive from Hollywood. The essence remains the same: the superhero has to save the planet from destructive forces. The difference lies in the fact that Roshan Sr. envelopes the typical Indian emotions with technology to tug at your heartstrings and win you over. 

Besides the superhero, another standout aspect of KRRISH-3 is, without a shred of doubt, the antagonist, who is extremely powerful and who has created an army of mutants, which is called maanvar [a combination of maanas/man and jaanwar/animal]. And it is this aspect -- half human-half animal -- that gives this superhero film an edge. The pack of villains [Chameleon Kaya, Rhinoman, Antman, Frogman, Cheetahwoman, Scorpionwoman] challenge the powers of the superhero and the duel that ensues reverberates in your memory much after the screening has concluded.

Additionally, KRRISH-3 is a technical marvel and all those doubting whether the homegrown superhero and visual effects would really match up to the international levels or look outright tacky would stand vanquished. Watch it to believe it, is all I'd say!

After defeating the villainous Dr. Siddhant Arya [Naseeruddin Shah] and bringing his father Rohit [Hrithik Roshan] back from the dead, Krrish [Hrithik, again] continued fighting against evil and saving innocent lives. Now Krishna [Hrithik] is living a happily married life with Priya [Priyanka Chopra], while Rohit is using his scientific brilliance to benefit society. And Krrish is everyone's favorite superhero saviour.

Unknown to them, a dark force is growing in another part of the world. Kaal [Vivek Oberoi], an evil genius, is selfishly misusing his powers to spread fear, death and destruction. And he is being assisted by an army of very dangerous beings, which he has created himself. Not long after Kaal's plans are put into action, both Rohit and Krrish find themselves in front of a crisis of epic proportions, which only they can resolve, together. But when they finally cross paths with Kaal and his army, neither of them is prepared for what lies ahead.

Kaal not only brings the world to the brink of disaster, he also puts the strength and love of Krishna and his family to test. And Krrish has to somehow find the power within to face an unbeatable foe. The greatest battle between good and wicked sets in motion...

Rakesh Roshan has adapted himself to the fast-changing times. His clutch on the emotional quotient is apparent in every venture, but in KRRISH-3, the marriage of content and VFX is the motivating force, its biggest USP, which sets it apart from his previous directorial ventures. The veteran knows with experience that mere VFX minus drama/emotions will fall flat on its face and at the same time, with Hollywood invading the marquee with technical marvels, one has to contend with global standards too. Roshan Sr. smartly assimilates the esteemed formula of good versus evil with the technical wizardry of today to create a visual spectacle that is sure to redefine the escapist cinema we are synonymous with.

From the writing point of view, while the first half introduces us to the characters and the conflict sets in motion, it's the second hour that works like magic, holding you attentive till the last frame. Kangna's character is one of the striking aspects, Vivek's villainy reaches its crescendo and the fight between good and evil, towards the second half, is the hallmark of the enterprise. Besides the VFX, the look of the characters catches your eye. The costumes, the makeup, the overall makeover of the characters is truly imaginative, with the director and those associated in the respective departments running their imagination wild to create an impression.

The soundtrack of KRRISH-3 is ordinary, although the songs are well filmed, especially the one between Hrithik and Kangna. Having said that I'd like to add that the soundtrack could've been memorable like Roshan brothers' earlier accomplishments. The background score [Salim-Sulaiman] is top notch, enhancing the impact of several sequences. Cinematography [S. Tirru] is awe-inspiring, with the stylish visuals garnishing the plot exquisitely. The dazzling locales and sets only add to the beauty. Action and stunts are electrifying, befitting a superhero movie. Dialogue are perfect.

It must have been a challenge of sorts for Hrithik Roshan to portray the characters differently, besides concentrating on voice modulation as well as physical attributes. The actor has the physique to pull off the masked man adroitly. As Rohit, the septuagenarian and Krishna, his young son, Hrithik is most persuasive as well, gliding into the characters with incredible ease. The franchise seems inconceivable without Hrithik as he exhibits his range as a performer. He's the showstopper here, without any hesitation!

Vivek Oberoi is in top form as the antagonist. The intensity, the voice and the makeover gives the term 'villain' an all-new meaning in KRRISH-3. Though the actor has portrayed negative characters in several endeavors, you're sure to see Vivek in a new light here. He gets to portray a layered character that is sinister, brutal and caustic. Vivek should finally get his due with this film.

Priyanka Chopra is efficient enough, portraying her part very well. Note her sequences in the post-interval portions. She's truly fantastic! Kangna Ranaut is superb. She exhibits a lot of toughness in her personality, which gels well with her on-screen character. She's deadly and gorgeous -- a lethal combo. The actress is sure to win laurels for the role. Naseeruddin Shah and Mohnish Bahl appear in cameos. Arif Zakaria and Rajpal Yadav are adequate. The actors portraying the parts of the mutants register an impact.

On the whole, KRRISH-3 has the ingredients that make a splendid superhero film, besides being Rakesh Roshan's most accomplished work so far. Besides a riveting plot, the film scores brownie points thanks to the strong undercurrent of emotions, the clash between the protagonist and antagonist/mutants, the awe-inspiring visual effects, the larger-than-life entertainment and of course, Hrithik Roshan, who is matchless in this avtaar. It's a Diwali bonanza for moviegoers across the globe and is sure to conclude the celebratory period on a high. BLOCKBUSTER.

The hype around lavish Films especially those which release on festive occasions is insurmountable. Diwali has traditionally remained one of he most bankable money spinning eves for Bollywood with its ability to attract large holiday crowd. With Hrithik Roshan’s superhero flick Krrish 3 gearing up for release this Friday, a day before Diwali crackers begin sizzling, the economic turn down of the market can surely hope to not affect Bollywood this season. The advance booking reports of the film have been overwhelming and as the film releases in over 4000 screens the collections should kick start well.

A mild trade buzz also suggests that the price of Krrish 3 tickets will be higher than that of Chennai Express. The film, which released this Eid sold tickets at 500 INR per ticket in most multiplexes at metropolitan cities. If Krrish 3 even equates the ticket rates of Chennai Express, that would be reason enough for the film to easily be amongst the forerunners at being one of the fastest entrants of the distinguished 100 crore club.

On its Day 1, the film can easily earn in the range of 23 crores to 25 crores. Being a normal Friday release, it will be hard for the film to soar any further. Since the film caters mainly to the youth and kids, one can expect to find more families flocking the theatres on its first day. Hrithik’s last film Agneepath, that was a Republic Day release in 2012, earned 23 crores on its 1st day. Though it might be hard for the film to match up to the collections of Chennai Express or Ek Tha Tiger which released on full blown holidays, it surely has the potential to surpass this year’s highest non-holiday release YJHD, which made a record breaking opening day moolah of 19.45 crores.

For a film like Krrish 3, word of mouth might have a quintessential role to play. On its Day 2, the film might get slightly dampened due to the festivities occupying the center-stage for most families. The film on its second day, which is a Diwali, should earn in the range of 19 crores. There is remote chance of the film showing a tremendous pick up on that day due to the Diwali buzz already gathering more attention than the film for most people.

On Day 3 too, the film will at best remain in the same range or show a minimal growth at the box office. Being the actual day of Diwali, the holiday focus will mostly be on spending time with the family and engaging in festive fun more than watching a film. Still if a good hype sparks off for the movie, the film can remain in the range of 23 crores.

On Day 4, the film might see a huge drop. Expecting atleast a 50% decrease, given that most offices will be open on that day, the film’s collections will accumulate to 12 crores-13 crores. Hrithik’s last release Agneepath had made nearly 8 crores on its 1st Monday. But since Krrish as a franchise a huger fan base, along with the benefit of being released in the Diwali vacation period, the chances for Krrish 3 to remain stable over the week is greater.

Since the 1st Tuesday for the film is again a quasi-holiday given that it is Bhai Dooj, the box office income might see a rise on that day. Estimating that it will settle around 14 crores-15 crores, it might be its most solid chance at earning to the hilt before working days begin for the film.

By Wednesday, the film’s collections can be expected to stabilize at a fixed income till it hits its second weekend. Given that Chennai Express, YJHD and even Ek Tha Tiger on its initial weekdays remained steady in the range of 11 crores to 12 crores nearly, Krrish 3 too will remain steady in the same range earning at least a minimum amount of 10 crores.

With the conclusion of film’s 6 days, it should enter the coveted 100 crore club at the domestic box office. As per the expected run, the film will surely join the ranks of the highest grossing films easily. However 100 crores might come a little delayed to it given the spell of rollicking Diwali feast that will be prior to most people.
