The official first look image of the upcoming film The Villain is out! Featuring Shraddha Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra,
the pairing is invigoratingly refreshing. This is the first
time Sidharth will be seen playing a character which might prove to be a
career defining role for him in acting and action moves. Shraddha
Kapoor will be seen a role pretty unique from Aashiqui 2 that shot her to fame. Directed by Mohit Suri, the film is expected to release in June, 2014.

The story of Dhoom 3 will kickstart with Sahir (played by Aamir Khan)
assisting his father, played by Jackie Shroff in their circus. Sahir
picks up the trade tricks from his father. However, the child is left
with a traumatized childhood as he witnessed the death of his father
(Jackie Shroff) who is murdered.
A young and impressionable Sahir decides to avenge the death of his father.
The film then takes a predictable leap: the young Sahir is now running his own circus along with the Gymnast Aaliya. But Sahir’s real motive is to rob the circus owners possibly because he presumes of their involvement in his father’s murder.
ACP Jai Dixit (Abhishek Bachchan), along with Ali (Uday Chopra) are given the task of nabbing the robber who is so slick with his misdeeds that he is hard to catch. It doesn’t take Jai long to zero on the robber but there is no proof of his crimes. Jai sticks to his classic method of catching Sahir red handed and lays out a trap to grab Sahir when in action!
What remains reserved for the film is the climax whether he will be caught like John Abraham in Dhoom or he will begin life afresh like Hrithik Roshan in Dhoom 2 . The presence of Aamir assures that the ending will be unusual, pretty much what your expect from Mr perfectionist!

Likely when the year is about to come to
a closure, Microsoft’s search engine Bing revealed the celebrity names
from India who topped as the most searched personalities on the
Internet. And strikingly, this year belonged to Dabangg Salman Khan, who charismatically scored the highest as his fans went click click on the web.
It is surprising to note that 2013, a
year when Salman had no film releases and no major commitment except the
Bigg Boss Season 7, which he has been hosting since the last four
seasons, was the year when he toppled all his contemporaries, despite
having any silver screen appearance! But he had ample reasons to be in
news, due to his court hearings, his health disorders, the constant
delaying of the schedules of Jai ho,
his back to back projects lined up from 2014 and obviously, the huge
controversy regarding Bigg Boss and his fairness being questioned in
public. And not to miss, his hugely hysteric first time debut on KJo’s
Koffee with Karan, which made quite a noise!
Following Salman Khan was as expected, Shah Rukh Khan, whose surrogate baby, and the Rohit Shetty entertainer Chennai Express kept him in news. While Chennai Express scored a double century with ease, thereby crossing the previous benchmark set by 3 Idiots, Shah Rukh kept on featuring in the news bulletin, like he always does. From Kolkata Knight Riders to his Happy New Year
shooting schedules and his stage concerts, Shah Rukh was a one man
show! But I would credit the entire hug and patch up euphoria at the
Iftar bash to have done the trick for both of them.
Following the two lead actors, is our top searched heroine, Katrina Kaif
who also strangely haven’t had any releases this year till now.
Although it’s a wait to see whether her year ends with a big, big Dhoom,
as of now, she can, for once be happy about her bikini pictures being
headlined and her furious letter to the Media, as it gave her the much
needed publicity, that too when she had nothing much to do. Plus her
hush-hush relationship with supposed beau Ranbir Kapoor
has been spoken about ever since they were spotted holidaying privately
in Spain! Although Katrina dodged the media glare for months before she
sportingly faced all the brickbats at the Dhoom Machale Dhoom launch, she definitely had reasons enough to stay in the news!
Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar topped the
list of sportspersons, as he stood tall on the 4th position overall. His
retirement from cricket had created a nationwide storm, a calamity
which cricket fans will feel the void of, for ages! Hence Sachin topping
that lost was more than expected. Also featuring in the Sports-persons
list was Virat Kohli, followed by Milkha Singh, whose life was adapted
into a terrific film called Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, hence his place was carefully cemented.
Coming to Bollywood films, while most of us would have expected a Krrish 3, Dhoom 3 or a Chennai Express to take the lead here, given its heavyweight budgets and prominent faces, it was the year’s first hit, Race 2 that went past all the others. Following Race 2 was SRK-Deepika starrer Chennai Express. Even Ashiqui 2, Grand Masti and Fukrey made it to the list!
And when it came to song, it was just Yo yo Honey Singh all the way. The rapper scored magic as his rendition, Lungi Dance took over the top spot beating the likes of Party on My Mind from Race 2 and Badtameez Dil from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.
While Aamir, Hrithik, Ajay nd Akshay and
their films went totally missing from the list, it was definitely
Salman (among the heroes) and Katrina (among the heroines) who made the
perfect scoops for 2013, as it can be rightly put!

Bollywood’s superstar Salman Khan is having a release almost after a year, which is probably the longest gap the actor has ever had. Jai Ho would be Khan’s next release after Dabangg 2, which released in Dec 2012.
Salman Khan and Sohail Khan have come up with a unique idea for the first trailer launch of Jai Ho as the Khan brothers were keen to have something special.
Salman will unveil the look of the movie in the presence of his fans at the Chandan single screen theatre on the 5th of December. This will be the first time the trailer would be presented at a public platform and his fans will be able to witness and give him first hand reaction on the same.
Rather than only showing it to the media, Salman will also get a chance to interact with his fans. Says an insider, “Salman has a huge fan base who have been eagerly waiting to his film to launch. This way, the makers will reach directly to a common man and will receive a feedback straight from the audience.”
Salman’s Jai Ho is a story of an upright common man who is fighting a solitary war against corruption and injustice.

She has always been the bombaat factor
in all the films, whether it’s the iconic dialogue deliveries or the
rustic charm that she is endowed with. But Sonakshi has zoomed into the
A-league right at the onset of her career. With almost a handful of
films releasing every year, Sonakshi is definitely the busiest of the
newbies today. “It has been three years that I have been a part of this
industry. I never had the intention of joining films as I had always
been saying. But after doing Dabangg,
I started liking the entire feel.
And henceforth, I have been busy
shooting films back to back and my mom gets really pissed at me for
overworking all the time. But somehow, work keeps me happy. I loved
every moment of it that’s why it gave me the zeal to work even more.
Shooting, promoting takes up so much of time that I have hardly taken
holidays ever since I joined films. I guess I am the only newcomer who
has had as many as nine releases in the first three years.”
From Dabangg to Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobaara! and Bullett Raja now, sans Lootera,
she has always been playing loud characters, ones that have hardly had
anything substantial to offer. Does she ever regret doing more Dabanggs and less Looteras?
Up came the rebuttal. “Well, I don’t really think that is the right way
to go about the entire thing. Every film is different in its own right
and I personally don’t like it when people call me a mere showpiece or
an arm candy in the film. I do the so called massy entertainers just
because I believe in them. I am one person who would do a film only if I
personally would like to watch it in a movie hall. And be it Dabangg or Bullett Raja or Lootera, these are films that I believed in. Coming to substantial roles, yes everyone did appreciate me in Lootera
and that would b e one of my most favourite performances because it
developed my acting prowess but then again, I would say doing a film
like Bullett Raja is more difficult than doing a Lootera.
In these films, I need to play a loud character, one that I cannot
relate to with my own life. People might feel this has nothing
substantial to offer while I beg to differ and say these roles take
serious amount of hard work”, she clarifies with conviction.
Playing a Bengali for the second time in Bullett Raja
and looking so effortlessly charming, Sonakshi is definitely on a high.
“This is the second time I am playing a Bengali girl but this character
is way different from Lootera’s Pakhi. My character in Bullett Raja
is more traditionally contemporary and somehow the Bengali look really
works well on me. People are saying I totally look like a Bengali girl.
Very mishti, is what they say (Smiles)”, Sonakshi signs off with that million dollar smile.

Actor Hrithik Roshan
is taking time off work due to his recurring headaches. The actor who
underwent a brain surgery few months back hasn’t recuperated completely.
And his health issues hasn’t done much good to his co-actors. While Bang Bang co-star Katrina Kaif has busied herself in Kabir Khan’s Phantom with Saif Ali Khan, actress Kareena Kapoor chose to continue her project with Farhan Akhtar in the meantime.
Kareena, who was to be seen opposite Hrithik in Karan Malhotra’s Shuddhi
was aghast when her film’s shooting was delayed to mid-2014 now. The
actress decided to first work on director Dev Benegal’s project with
Farhan Akhtar, using up the idle window which Shuddhi‘s delay
was creating for her. Dev Benegal’s project was scheduled to start end
March, 2014 will now begin by February. The entire process has been sped
up to accomodate the actress. The untitled film will be produced by
Farhan Akhtar’s banner Excel Entertainment and will be an outright
commercial outing from the director who is known for his off beat work.

Much has been spoken about Salman Khan’s upcoming film Jai Ho. With the latest pictures from the sets of the film going viral, the reason why the film was renamed Jai Ho is evident now.
The film was earlier named Mental but on insistence of Salman Khan the name was changed to Jai Ho.
Previously it was assumed that since the film was targeting the 26th
January holiday with its release, the name would have been more
appropriate. But the reason seems to be entirely different.
In the new picture from the sets of the
film, actor Salman Khan is seen in the role of an army man with his
uniform reading the name Jai Agnihotri. Though the film is a remake of
Southern film Stalin, Salman Khan will surely add his own charm to make it distinct. Directed by Sohail Khan, the film will release on 24th January.

Actor Akshay Kumar
finds himself in middle of a sticky situation. The actor has been
constantly getting extortion calls from a gangster who is demanding 5
crores. Akshay informed the cops that he suspects this is being
masterminded by his former domestic help whom had recently fired. There
is also a possibility that the servant due to the spat with the star has
passed on information about his lifestyle to some underworld gangster
who is executing this for him.
The gangster has made several calls to the actor over the last week and did not budge from his amount. The police is now looking for Kumar’s domestic help and are trying to procure more about the gangster. It is confirmed that someone from Kumar’s household got in touch with the gangster but any further information on the domestic help hasn’t been found so far.

The second schedule of Superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s next film Happy New Year, went on floors on 11th November. While actress Deepika Padukone is keeping busy with the promotions of her next film Ramleela, the rest of the cast were seen shooting in Mumbai’s iconic Wilson college premises.
Reports from the film’s sets suggests a very different mood for its
theme than that was cruising in the media. Surely the film is based on a
dance competition but it mainly belongs to the thriller genre.
The fleeting news reports on the same suggests that SRK in the film plays a character called Magiha whose gang includes Abhishek Bachchan named Tinku, Boman Irani who plays the role of Tom and Sonu Sood who will be called Jerry in the film.
The film’s firsts schedule was wrapped up in Dubai after a long shoot
in Palm Jumeriah Dubai. The film’s two month long schedule of the film
kickstarted now and will be crucial time for its cast and crew. Koimoi

Comedy Nights With Kapil - the show which
has won the hearts of almost entire India. But, there is something which
will break your heart. We are breaking this story…
Sunil Grover, the powerhouse actor who essays the role of ‘Gutthi’ is all set to quit the show. For us this was a forgone conclusion, because the funny Punjabi girl ‘Gutthi’ was becoming more popular then any other character in the show.
Comedy Nights With Kapil has Bittoo, Dadi, Bua, Palak, Mrs Sharma and last but not the least Gutthi. Out of all the above, one can very conveniently say that ‘Gutthi’ is the one that is on top of everyone’s mind.
In the recent weeks, Sunil who used to essay other characters as well has stopped doing so and was only concentrating on ‘Gutthi’. According to our sources, Kapil is feeing a bit insecured about the growing popularity for Sunil Grover aka Gutthi and there has been a rift between the two.
Gutthi‘s antics and songs have always left the audiences and the guests in split. But rumours say that Grover, the man behind ‘Gutthi’ has quit the show.
Sunil,
as of now, has taken temporary exit from the show. The reason given is
very original and new – prior commitments. Apparently, Sunil Grover
demanded a raise in his pay package for the show, which was not
acceptable by the makers and hence he decided to walk out of it.
If one remembers, there were reports of non payment issues of artists and technicians sometime ago. Comedy Nights With Kapil is ‘INSPIRED’ by the British television show The Kumars at No. 42. Produced by Kapil Sharma himself, the show went on air on air June 22, 2013 on Colors.
Will
Sunil ever return back to the show? Will he get the money hike he is
asking for? Will the channel finally interfere and sort things out
between Kapil and Sunil?
Well, all we can say is – Kapil –
Sunil – Sunil – Gutthi – Gutthi – Pay Hike – Pay Hike – Channel –
Channel – Colors – Colors – Audience – Audience – Gutthi – Gutthi – We Will Miss You!

The Dabangg era may just be nearing its end. With everyone from Ranbir Kapoor (Besharam) to Sanjay Dutt (Policegiri) trying to enter this space but with no luck going in their favour, courtesy audience showing a red flag to their outings, the whole pitch of R... Rajkumar, the last of the desi action films this year, is seeing a different pitch for itself.
As per the makers, the Shahid Kapoor starrer is far removed from the masala space of the Salman Khan starrer that led to many a clone being built during last three years.
"Instead, the film is being positioned as the romantic action entertainer with the USP as the 'youngest action hero' on screen in the current times. Even there, Shahid would have limited engagement with goons and scenes centered on one 'mukka' resulting in 'ten-men- flying-in-the-air' would be drastically reduced," informs our source.
As a matter of fact, when the original script was shared by producer Viki Rajani with Prabhu Dheva and Shahid, the director as well as the actor liked the script. However after coming on board, Prabhu Dheva decided to turn around everything in the film except for the core premise and wrote it in his own style.
Eventually, R... Rajkumar turned out to be a film that had a style of its own without falling into the trap of several clones floating around in the market. Also, Prabhu Dheva worked on the entire story and screenplay himself, hence lending his own style to the narrative.

Confirms Viki Rajani, who has produced the film along with Sunil Lulla of Eros, "We are definitely not getting into the Dabangg space with R... Rajkumar. We have not gone overboard in making Shahid a superhero. Instead, he is this young guy who does what a hero has to do."
He goes on to add that at the core of it, R... Rajkumar is not just a wham-bang entertainer but instead a romantic action movie, a genre that hasn't been explored for a long time.
Says Viki, "We have had action comedies or action dramas in last few years but there hasn't been a romantic action film for long. R... Rajkumar fills that space. There are songs, dances, fun and a lot of action too. It is a wholesome family entertainer. Shahid is doing stuff that no one has done before. He is a hero but not like a Salman in Dabangg or Akshay in Rowdy Rathore."

Bollywood in 2013 despite witnessing an economic hilt like Chennai Express which has reigned over as the highest grossing film at the domestic box office, witnessed disastrous flops as well. Koimoi compiles for you the films which emerged as the most drooping flops of the year through - Bollywood Box Office Verdict: Major Flops Of 2013.
Zanjeer:
A lavish film made on a heavy budget of 60 crores could only make an income of 15 crores at the domestic box office. Suffering a lag of 45 crores, the film ranks as the biggest flop of the year so far. Releasing with a relatively smaller film namely YRF’s Shuddh desi Romance, the film wrapped up at the domestic arena within a week itself.
Zila Ghaziabad:
This Arshad Warsi, Sanjay Dutt starrer released with Abhishek Kapoor’s Kai Po Che! way back in February. Made on a budget of 36 crores, the film suffered a loss of 20 crores when its lifetime run settled at 16 crores only. Poor content along with a surprisingly good performance of Kai Po Che! despite the lack of any star value, the film was badly smashed at the Box Office.
Besharam:
This movie was supposed to launch actor Ranbir Kapoor in a never seen before avatar and truly for those who have watched the film, they swore they never want to see this avatar of the actor ever again. Resorting to commercial pressures, Ranbir accepted a film that had him fixing his crotch more than acting. Though Abhinav Kashyap had shown promise in Salman Khan’s Dabangg, Besharam was indeed a shameless effort from an actor who has better mettle for sure. Made on a budget of 75 crores, the film could only make 59.80 crores at the box office, hence suffering a loss of 15.20 crores at the domestic box office.
Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobaara!:
Milan Luthria’s last Once Upon edition was an unforgettable film. This one too can termed as unforgettable, but in a widely different sense than the former reference. Reducing a stellar premise to a shabby love story, the film was dismissed by the audiences altogether. Made on a budget of 80 crores, the film could only make 65 crores therefore incurring a loss of nearly 15 crores. Unable to make any profit, the dampening factor was the grave disappointment of the audiences from the film.
Himmatwala:
Labelled as the year’s biggest dud,it turns out that the film fared much better than a few of its recent ones at the box office. made on a budget of 50 crores, the film by the conclusion its first week had made 45 crores. With a loss of 5 crores only, the film is a winner of sorts amongst those which flopped at the box office. May be now Sajid Khan can feel a little better.
Boss:
And more recently, it was Akshay Kumar’s Boss that joined the ranks of the biggest flops so far. Though an adequately Khiladi Kumar’s stunt filled, action film, Boss suffered a major blow at the box office due to engaging cricket match which is keeping the audiences glued to it. The film that is made on a heavy budget of 72 crores could only recover 54 crores so far hence running at a loss of 18 crores. Since Krrish 3 is out for release tomorrow, it isn’t hard to say that the film has almost wrapped up it box office run.
